The Zoev City Box, combined with a zero-emission vessel, offers a sustainable logistics solution for the city center—with a focus on clean air, reduced traffic, and a pleasant living environment.
Do you need sustainable transportation for roll containers, pallets, or packages from a distribution center outside the city center to stores or restaurants? Then the Zoev City Box is ideal for last-mile distribution.
From distribution center to front door
The logistics process is thoroughly thought out and efficiently organized:
- Goods are delivered by truck to the distribution center.
- There, the goods are loaded into the Zoev City Boxes and transferred to the barges using a ship-to-shore crane (7 Zoev City Boxes = 42 roll containers).
- An E-pusher transports two fully loaded barges to a buffer location on the outskirts of the city.
- On the outskirts of the city, the loaded barges are ready for transport to the city center or back to the distribution center.
- The self-propelled barge sails to one of ten strategically selected loading and unloading locations, where the Zoev City Boxes are hoisted onto the trailer using the E-loading/unloading crane.
- The E-puller then transports the goods to their final destination, after which the packaging material is collected for return.
- The barge returns to the distribution center via the same route and following the same procedure.
A comprehensive logistics sequencing and planning model has been developed within this system, ensuring that City Boxes are always loaded and unloaded in the correct order. This minimizes wait times, maximizes efficiency, and ensures reliable deliveries.

Efficient on the Road, Too
The Zoev City Box isn’t just suitable for water transport.
The boxes can also be transported in groups by road—for example, with multiple boxes on a single trailer—allowing for flexible switching between water and road transport.
